200 year old Irish Cottage, Dingle (pics from myhome.ie)

I love this cottage, beautiful thatch, old red timber windows and white walls and all in a modern home! This cottage would be fantastic for someone looking to retire to a comfortable, modern cottage for some peace and quiet and the sound of the ocean. I could also see this as a retreat for an artist, crafts person or musician… Dingle itself is such a hub of craft and creativity. The auctioneers recommend it as a summer house but it would be a pity if this was not loved all year round! Unfortunatley there are no interior pictures so we’ll have to use our imaginations cottageologists!

Here the blurb:

“This fantastically situated Irish Cottage is located in Kells, Co. Kerry on the cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean and allows a stunning view over the Dingle Bay. This thatched roof cottage, believed to be 200 years old, was extended and extensively renovated in the year 2000 to highest specifications without destroying the typical old Irish character. The property itself has five bedrooms, two bathrooms and a guest toilet. Furthermore, the cottage offers two living rooms with fireplaces, two fully fitted and equipped kitchens and a spacious conservatory. The property benefits from a garage with two car parking spaces, a sauna and an extraordinary summer house. The beautifully landscaped garden on 0.5 acres offers a broad range of plants, flowers and seatings. Viewing is highly recommend.”
